One more data point for United Kingdom, namely UK16 (Wave X) have been added to the LIS Database. The datasets is based on the 2016-2017 wave of the Family Resources Survey (FRS) carried out by Office for National Statistics (ONS) sponsored by Department for Work and Pensions (DWP).

The datasets is based on the 2016 wave of the Survey of Financial Securities (SFS) carried out by Statistics Canada. This brings the total number of Canadian datasets in LWS to four (CA99, CA05, CA12 and CA16).

The education variables (EDUC and EDUC_C) for the six datasets from CA75 to CA97 have been changed to be consistent across the entire Canadian LIS series. Persons with a post-secondary certificate or diploma, previously coded as indistinguishable, were recoded into category “high”.
