Canada – CA16 added to LWS

One more data point for United Kingdom, namely CA16 (Wave X) have been added to the LWS Database. The datasets is based on the 2016 wave of the Survey of Financial Securities (SFS) carried out by Statistics Canada.  This brings the total number of Canadian datasets in LWS to four (CA99, CA05, CA12 and CA16).

Canada – Revision of education information for the earlier datasets

The education variables (EDUC and EDUC_C) for the six datasets from CA75 to CA97 have been changed to be consistent across the entire Canadian LIS series. Persons with a post-secondary certificate or diploma, previously coded as indistinguishable, were recoded into category “high”.
