Thomas Piketty

Paris School of Economics Professor Thomas Piketty presented the 2012 Summer Lecture, Wealth and Inheritance in the Long R.

Thomas Piketty is currently a Professor of Economics at the Paris School of Economics. Prof. Piketty also served as the Director of the school from 2005-2007, and was instrumental in its founding. He has served as a co-editor for the Journal of Public Economics since 1996.

Prof. Piketty has authored close to a dozen books and published over 60 scholarly articles. His research focuses on economic inequality in France and other industrialized nations. His most recent book is entitled Peut-on sauver l’Europe ? Chroniques 2004-2012 (Can We Save Europe? Chronicles 2004 – 2012).
