Luxembourg Consumption Study (LCS) Database – Beta Launch

LIS has launched the beta release of the Luxembourg Consumption Study (LCS) Database, a harmonised, cross-national database of household consumption and the third pillar of LIS’s data infrastructure, alongside LIS and LWS. This article traces the project’s origins, conceptual framework, and first findings: a sharp food-to-housing shift across income levels, a striking reversal in Spanish elderly households’ position in the consumption distribution, and a marked rise in Polish households’ financial satisfaction.
