Introducing LISSY 10.0: System Upgrade with the New 3.1 Web User Interface — An Enhanced Remote-Execution Experience
LIS is pleased to announce the release of the newly upgraded LISSY system, featuring the latest version of our Remote-Execution System (LISSY 10.0) together with its Web User Interface (Version 3.1). This upgrade introduces a range of improvements designed to enhance system performance and deliver a smoother, more efficient user experience.
Key updates in this release
Statistical Packages upgrades
- Stata upgrade: LISSY now runs Stata 19, updated from version 16.1.
- R upgrade: The R environment has been updated from version 4.0.5 to 4.4.2, improving compatibility and overall efficiency.
New user interface functionalities
- Job termination feature: Users can now terminate running jobs directly from the interface if an error is detected after submission (see instructions below).
- Interface display fixes: Previous UI display issues have been resolved, including corrections to menu sizing and layout behaviour.
- New “Manual Review” status icon: A new icon
now appears when a job is set aside for manual review due to potential microdata output (see FAQs for more information). - Log-out button added: A dedicated log-out button has been introduced for improved usability and session management
Additionally, the internal architecture of LISSY has been enhanced to better accommodate higher job volumes and to optimise resource distribution across users, supporting improved system performance.
How to Terminate a Running Job?
- From the Recent Jobs menu, select the job on the left-hand panel.
- Click the red stop icon on the right-hand toolbar.
- The job status icon will update once termination is complete
